Blacksmithing Intensive: Forged for a Purpose
Ages 10–17 | Monday–Friday | 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM
In this hands-on blacksmithing intensive, boys will step into the forge to create their own custom knife, choosing from rebar, a horseshoe, or a railroad spike. But this class is about far more than forging metal—it's about shaping character.
As sparks fly and steel heats, each day will include powerful leadership lessons woven into the blacksmithing process:
The Metal represents each boy’s life — full of potential, strength, and purpose.
The Fire is the refining presence of the Holy Spirit, softening our hearts to be shaped for something greater.
The Anvil stands for God—unchanging, steady, and trustworthy—the standard by which our lives are formed.
The Hammers symbolize the people God places in our lives—parents, mentors, and coaches—who shape us through truth, love, and challenge.
The Master Blacksmith is Jesus—the only One who perfects what we cannot, strengthens our weaknesses, and models what it means to be a man of God.
This unique experience powerfully combines skill-building, spiritual growth, and mentorship and leaves a lasting impression on both the knife and the young man forging it.
We would be honored to have your son join us “On the Anvil!”
