Lasting friendships aren’t built on a foundation of convenience—they’re forged in loyalty, sacrifice, and trust.
Have you ever felt like friendship has lost its meaning? In a world of likes, follows, endless scrolling, and virtual reality, it’s easy to feel surrounded by people yet still deeply alone. We can have hundreds of “friends” online, but still long for the kind of real, life-giving friendships that stand the test of time.
During this leadership program, we will dive into the story of David & Jonathan—a friendship that shows us what true loyalty, sacrifice, and encouragement look like. We’ll explore what it means to be a real friend in a digital age that has blurred the lines of connection. Through Scripture, hands-on forging, and brotherhood, boys will discover how godly friendship points us to Christ—the ultimate friend who laid down His life for us.
Over these 8 weeks, boys ages 9–15 will forge their own knife and—most importantly—learn how to:
Build friendships based on covenant, not convenience.
Practice loyalty even when it’s costly.
Sacrifice personal gain for the good of others.
Encourage and strengthen one another in faith.
Trust deeply and walk with integrity.
Carry each other’s burdens, even through grief.
Leave behind a legacy of love and brotherhood.
See how Jesus is the ultimate model of true friendship.
We would be honored to have your son join us “On the Anvil!”
